Another is shaving where the investor will sell stocks for say one tenth of a cent less than what they are actually worth. The investor then buys the same stock back at the same level of increments. This concept of shaving can be quite difficult to understand but it is a tried and tested formula to make money with day trading. With any approach used the goal is the same. Try and find stocks which are in a state of change and then correctly predict which way they will go. It’s much closer to gambling than some people realise but it really is it up to the individual how much of a gamble they take. If proper research is done then it’s more like educated guessing than gambling and the chances of being successful will be much higher.

The downsides to day trading for a living are much the same as with other types of stock market investing such as investing through penny stock brokers. If an individual jumps in and buys or sells without studying the market then it is a guaranteed way to fail. Many people assume that it isn’t as important compared to value investing but it’s still the same game, just a different way of approaching it.
