How to get rid of blackheads

How to get rid of blackheads is a question asked by many a teenager! Although many teenagers do suffer from the problem its also quite common for adults too. Blackheads are caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct. These congesting toxins combined with skin oil and sebum clogs your pores causing blackheads and of course those nasty whiteheads too. Many people believe blackheads are caused by dirt but research suggests this isn't the case. The color is actually caused by by excess skin pigment, debris and skin particles. So if you have any, it's down to lack of hygiene. I've lost of the number of people I've met who talk about how many times a week they take a shower but they still end up with blackheads in their skin.

Get Rid of Blackheads Quickly

If it was down to hygiene people who shower every day wouldn't be suffering from the condition that's for sure. Blackheads appear most frequently on the nose and chin but are also found on the chest and back areas. So now you know where they come from and why they're black so lets get to how to remove blackheads! One of the worst places I think to have blackheads is on the forehead. It's not like you can squeeze them there to get rid of it or you'll end up with big red marks all over your face. They might end up looking worse than the blackheads did in the first place. It's never a good idea to try to pop the blackheads anyway. There are far more effective ways of getting rid of them. In some cases you won't be able to pop the blackhead anyway as it'll be too deeply buried in your skin. The problem is of course you don't realise that until it's too late and you're left with red blotchy patches on your skin.

Hi Bryan, I really wouldn't advise this. It's always better to check with your doctor before taking on any new treatments he or she will advise you on treatments you can use in your ears.

Hi Emily, I wouldn't recommend popping blackheads. It's better to use treatments that will remove them for you rather than trying to force them out of your skin.

    Blackhead Removal

The best advice is always to go see a dermatologist if it is really bad. They will no doubt prescribe you a cream containing benzoyl peroxide. Now don't give up if you don't see results over night it can take a bit of time to work in your body. Other methods that are frequently used are the strips which go over the affected area. After a few minutes the strip is removed withdrawing the blackheads. Finally there are also blackhead removal vacuum's on the market which to be honest sounds a little frightening but I have read reviews that they work!
